After receiving five Highly Commended awards in the 2024 NZAPA Iris Awards, I decided to enter again this year—submitting another collection of images across Black & White, Portrait, and Photojournalism categories. This year’s entries were heavily influenced by my recent travels through Cambodia, where I spent time documenting everyday life beyond the temples of Angkor. Back in April 2024 I entered five images into the NZAPA Iris Awards. I had forgotten all about it as I never heard anything back from the platform.  Winners were due to be announced at the Iris awards gala dinner on 4 August.    Today I decided to have a look via Iris Awards Gallery 2024 to see how I got on.  Nice to see all five images across the three categories entered placed receiving "highly commended" ribbon form the judges.
